Black Markets
Black markets are estimated to represent a fifth of all global economic activity, but we understand little about their dynamics because participants intentionally hide their activities. We use data and models to "look under the hood" of global black markets, so we may better understand how they function and how policy can minimize the harm they sometimes generate.
