Bio: Emily Goldman is Senior Program Lead at the Global Policy Lab. She drives the "applied" arm of the lab, helping translate cutting edge research into policy guidance and implementation. Together with GPL's Co-Directors and Senior Fellow, she advises senior government and social sector leaders. She has served as chief Research and Evaluation Officer at the Puerto Rico Department of Education for the past several years, managing a multi-million-dollar research-practice partnership to improve academic and workforce outcomes.

 She also has a background in humanitarian response and has led humanitarian response research, evaluation, and predictive analytics projects for United Nations agencies and international NGOs in the Middle East and Latin America. She has earned degrees in Development Studies and Middle East Studies from Brown University and in behavioral science from University College London as a Rotary scholar.
